In December 2013, University of Wisconsin-Madison undergraduate student writers in collaboration with the Rainbow Bookstore Cooperative held a fund raising event featuring readings by prison writers. Funds raised were donated to Wisconsin Books to Prisoners and the Oakhill Prison Humanities Project. The event featured representatives from both of these organizations as well as University of Wisconsin-Madison student writers. All funds raised were split between Wisconsin Books to Prisoners and the Writers in Prisons Project.
